Dr Lourence Hanna currently serves as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Ark Clinics and in the NHS.
He earned his medical degree at Sheffield University and also completed a Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree there where he achieved a first class distinction degree.
He became the first Academic Clinical Fellow in Psychiatry in South Yorkshire and was the recipient of the Erwin Stengel Memorial Psychiatry Prize for academic excellence. Additionally, he completed a Masters in Clinical Research at Sheffield University and achieved a first class distinction degree.
He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and has completed specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CCST). He brings over a decade of NHS experience and has extensive expertise in assessing and managing a broad range of mental health conditions.
He has a specialist interest in the assessment and treatment of ADHD in young people. Patients benefit from his holistic biopsychosocial approach and families receive care that combines expertise with evidence-based treatments. He has excellent communication skills and delivers comprehensive and compassionate care for young individuals.
CONSULTANT IN REHABILITATION MEDICINE
Dr Fayez Morcos

Dr Morcos has been working as a Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation for 23 years (since 2002). He also served as The Clinical Lead of Greater Manchester Neurorehabilitation Operational Delivery Network (2015-2020).
Through his work, Dr Morcos gained a vast experience in managing patients with neurological impairments, that include numerous conditions e.g. acquired brain injury (Head injuries, all presentation of intracranial haemorrhages, anoxic brain injury, encephalitis etc), spinal cord injury, stroke, Guillain Barre Syndrome, progressive conditions including multiple sclerosis. Through his long input in transitional rehabilitation, he gained excellent experience in managing cerebral palsy.
Dr Morcos has a special interest in managing spasticity, he is one of the early consultants who introduced ultrasound guided botulinum toxin injections (since 2004), Dr Morcos provides regular teaching and training in this aspect.
Similarly, Dr Morcos is skilled in injection procedures for musculoskeletal complications of neurological conditions.

Dr Hayat Khan

Dr Khan is an experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist working within CAMHS, NHS Trust. He has over 14 years of experience in psychiatry and also serves as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sheffield, Faculty of Medicine. He provides medical leadership within the Neurodevelopmental Pathway in the NHS Trust, supporting high-quality assessment and care for children and young people.
Dr Khan completed higher specialist training in CAMHS, achieving his CCT. His training duration was formally shortened from three years to two in recognition of an exceptional portfolio of clinical and leadership competencies. Prior to his substantive role, he worked extensively as a Locum Consultant, managing complex presentations and contributing to service development. Dr Khan has a strong interest in supporting young people with ADHD, ensuring that each assessment is thorough, individualised, and sensitive to their needs. His practice follows a holistic biopsychosocial approach, drawing on specialist knowledge and evidence-based treatments to achieve the best outcomes. Known for his child-friendly and clear communication style, he works collaboratively with children, adolescents, and their families to provide thoughtful, comprehensive, and compassionate care.

Sally Giles
BSc(hons) Speech and Language Therapy
Sally Giles currently works with the Ark clinics as a speciailist speech and language therapist supporting the team with autism assessments. Sally gained her qualification at the university of Wales, Institute Cardiff in 1998.
Since that time she worked within the NHS for over 20 years specialising in autism and complex cases gaining additional qualifications in autism assessment, dysphagia, alternative and augmentative communication alongside more complex autism presentations.
She has a special interest in autism and working with adults and children who present with multi factor presentations. She likes to work alongside other professionals to benefit the patients and working within a clear evidence base. She has excellent skills in communication and in particular listening skills to make sure that patients and their families feel heard and are part of the assessment and outcomes.
